Jesse stay in your lane. Yes, Gilbert was upset because his star player left, I understand that, but this has nothing to do with race. And you had to take it there. At what point did Gilbert appear to be racist? Not ever did he criticize LeBron James for being black or anything related. If the owner was black, you would
have never opened your mouth. Better yet, if the owner was black and
the player was Larry Bird for instance, you would have no problem with
the comments. In fact, you may have supported the owner and criticized
Bird for leaving the city. The entire city of Cleveland is mad at
LeBron because of all the people who depend on him solely to make a
living for themselves. Does a racism still exist? Unfortunately yes.
However, you need to get your facts straight and stop making
accusations when there obviously are no facts to support your case.
It's the talk on Dallas Radio and only Blacks are making it a racial matter. Stop the madness this was a business decision and nothing else. It's not black or white, it's Green or Ring and LaBron chose the ring.

Lebron, the Mavericks and what the heck

Ok first of all, Lebron going to the Heat reminds me of Washington paying all the stars and still not getting to the Super Bowl. How will that last and are there enough balls to go around? I'm just glad that he is not in the west. You have 3 shooters in the same offense, the coach has a challenge, but it is a good challenge. So does that take Boston out of the mix for an automatic finals showing? Or does the fact that Boston signed O'Neal allow Boston to still be in contention. Is Miami now the best team in the East?

Now, lets talk about the Mavericks who will bring back the same team. How do you get excited about the up and coming season when they don't make any changes? As a Mavericks fan, I am not happy. I want the Mavericks to make a splash and they don't even have water to splash. Each team in this area has made a big splash. The Cowboys went to get Charles Haley and Deion Sanders, the Stars picked UP BRENDEN MORROW, MIKE MADONO, EVEN THE RANGERS PICKED UP A-ROD. WHEN ARE THE MAVERICKS GOING TO GET IN MIX? I'M TIRED OF SEEING EVERY OTHER TEAM WIN THE JACKPOT!!

Is it football season yet?

We know it's time for football, because we keep saying the first place Rangers who is now 48-34. I keep saying to wait until the all-star break. To be honest the Rangers look better than they have in years. So I reserve my commits for another blog.

Which is the bigger watch the Labron watch or the Farve watch. Who is going to keep us in suspense longer, my vote is Farve. Why can't the Mavericks get into this free agent fight. Yes, I know they locked Dirk in for 4 more years, but they need another fighter. Dirk is a great player, but the Mavericks need that player with the killer instinct to go along with Dirk, and this free agency period is the perfect time. And please don't bring in Shaq and say we hit the jackpot. Put a killer player around Dirk, don't go to sleep this time. We would love to see a Wade and Dirk combination, especially since reports have Chris Bosh going to Cleveland and James might be staying there.

I have one question for the Mavericks. Why are you in the running for any of the top free agents that are on the market. The only big name that is on the list is Joe Johnson. Are we trying to be the Suns of old. I hope not, because that didn't work out to well for them either.

Now for the real news. 411 Sports will be making huge changes and we are excited about he changes. We will still have the paper online, and we will start the radio show back up. This next change will put us in another category. Stay tuned because it is going to be big.

How can the most talented team be stripped in one week. Here's how. Your quarterback breaks his thumb. One of your running backs has hamstring problems, your kicker and your receiver is out for the season, and oh yea your corner gets suspended for at least 4 games. How do you trump all of that. By signing one of the best receiver in the game today. I wonder how will Roy Williams tell the difference between Roy Williams because now the Cowboys have 2.

My thoughts

I still think that the Cowboys are the most talented in the NFL. And they should be alright because they have a bye week coming up. So, you Cowboy fans don't panic.

Sometimes my brother inspires me

I can look at my brother and sometimes he inspires me to go further than i think i can. I started this paper because of him and if you ever read any of his collage articles, you will see why. I remember reading an article that he wrote about Prop. 48 and it had me saying Hmm. He has been in just about every NFL stadium and covered the 1995 Super Bowl. So Kevin if you read this, Thank you for being my big brother. I know you didn't have a choice, but i hope i haven't disappointed you as your little brother.

To Knee Jerk or Not.

Ok Cowboy fans, let’s get one thing straight. Just because the Cowboys lose doesn’t mean the sky is falling. At the same time just because they win doesn’t mean that we are going to the Super Bowl.
This win against the Bengals was just plan sloppy. Crayton had too many drops. Romo threw another interception. The Defense got drove on and allowed Cincinnati to come back from 17 down to make the game interesting. Somebody tell me what kind of team are we looking at.
Game points.
Tony Romo threw for three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter, to lead the Dallas Cowboys to a 31-22 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at Texas Stadium.
Romo completed 14-of-23 passes for 176 yards, while also throwing an interception, for the Cowboys (4-1), who were coming off a home defeat to the Washington Redskins. Felix Jones ran for 96 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and Jason Witten had eight receptions for 79 yards and a score. Marion Barber rushed 23 times for 84 yards.
"I thought that was a real good win for us," Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips said. "I think you learn a lot when you make mistakes and still overcome them. That's part of learning to win, part of being a team when things aren't going great. We kept fighting in the game and finally came through at the end. I was really proud of our team with the way they fought all the way through."
Terrell Owens, who last week complained of not touching the ball enough, only made two catches, but had a 57-yard touchdown in the fourth that proved to be the game-winning score. He finished with 67 yards receiving.
"They are doubling Terrell every play," Phillips said. "That's what teams are doing. But again, we went back to the running game. If you keep those guys back deep, they won't have enough up front to stop our running game."

Shabach Hallelujah Barak: What does it all mean.

Byron Cage wrote a song and this is the chorus “Shabach Hallelujah Barak Praise the Lord”, so as I was singing this song, I was stopped in my tracks. My mind wondered as we are going through this political race. Could this really be a divine purpose sent by God? I’m a huge component of experience and our next leader of the country should be very well equipped with experience. I’m also a huge believer in faith and God’s divine purpose. I believe that God’s way’s are our ways. We don’t have a clue of what God is doing and how He goes about showing his Glory. So, I proceeded to read the word and see what does it say about the word Barak. Interesting enough, he first appears in the book of Judges with Deborah.

4) Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time. 5) She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came to her to have their disputes decided. 6) She sent for Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, "The LORD, the God of Israel, commands you: 'Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead the way to Mount Tabor. 7) I will lure Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands.' " 8) Barak said to her, "If you go with me, I will go; but if you don't go with me, I won't go." 9) "Very well," Deborah said, "I will go with you. But because of the way you are going about this, the honor will not be yours, for the LORD will hand Sisera over to a woman." So Deborah went with Barak to Kedesh, 10) where he summoned Zebulun and Naphtali. Ten thousand men followed him, and Deborah also went with him.

If we continue to read, we find that God did hand him over the land. We also find him in 1 Samuel 11. Here we find Barak, mentioned with Jerub-Baal, Jephthah and Samuel, whom the Lord sent to be delivered to the people of Israel from their enemies. This is all very interesting, but what I find to be the most compelling is when we read Hebrews 11:32-39.

32) And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, 33) who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34) quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35) Women received back their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection. 36) Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. 37) They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38) the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground. 39) These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. 40) God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

If I read this correctly I see that Barak, through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.

If we believe our Bible, maybe we are witnessing what is to come in this next election. While the name is spelled different (Barack) we still pronounce it the same. And if we look at the present day Barack he talks of bringing this country (conquered kingdoms) to a different look, and bringing about justice (administered justice).

So, if we were to ask ourselves how will a man who only has 4 years in the US Senate do all these things that have been promised up to this point, maybe we should go to the later day Barak and see how he did the things he did. We will find that God delivered what He promised He would deliver. "The LORD, the God of Israel, commands you (Barack, Barak): 'Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead the way to Mount Tabor. I will lure Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands.' "

So as I have been a component of finding the truth, maybe my praise session forwarded me the answer.Shabach, hallelujah. Barak, Praise the Lord. So, while I was praising the Lord, I heard Barak. What does it all mean? When you are at the polls Yadah means to extend your hand (to the polls). Towdah, lift up your hands, (to mark your ballet). Remember to Taquah, which means to clap your hands. Tehilah, means to sing, Halal, means to celebrate. Kara means to Dance, Dance, Dance. You have to realize that you were used by God. So, Clap your hands, stomp your feet, our God has triumphed gloriously; shabach. And don’t forget that We have got the victory, we'll shout a praise for all to see, shabach. Hallelujah Barak.

Don't push the panic button, just yet.

There is something to predictions and what the masses say about you. This was supposed to be the best team in the league and nobody was supposed to beat them. When we do our picks, not many of the so called experts will go against Dallas. Sometimes the best teams have needed losses. Sunday was no different. Washington really hadn't been tested and Dallas just came off of their most convincing win. but there are two old sayings in football, only any giving Sunday, and in the division, throw the records out the window. That's what happened this past Sunday.

Jason Campbell threw a pair of touchdown passes, as the Washington Redskins stunned the Dallas Cowboys, 26-24, in a clash between NFC East rivals. Campbell completed 20-of-31 passes for 231 yards and Clinton Portis gained 121 yards on the ground for the Redskins (3-1). Santana Moss had a game-high eight receptions for 145 yards.

"Every week it gets tougher in the NFL," Campbell said. "I thought my guys came out and fought hard today. Offensively, defensively, it was a great team victory. (The Cowboys) are a tremendous football team."

Tony Romo completed 28-of-47 passes for 300 yards with three touchdowns and one costly interception for the Cowboys (3-1). Jason Witten and Terrell Owens each caught seven balls, including one touchdown apiece.

"It was just a tough day," Romo said. "You can't take anything away from them, they did a good job. All of us had some issues today where we just have to get better in our situations where we got to win."

The Redskins defense bottled up Marion Barber, limiting him to a mere 26 yards on eight carries.

"It's a big victory because we were ahead on points but it was a very, very close game," said Redskins head coach Jim Zorn. "It feels good to take strikes and it feels even better to have that football team believe in what we are doing. As a head football coach what can I say? We just beat Dallas in Dallas."

Some would say that Dallas just got beat by Washington, I would say that Dallas beat itself also. You can’t just run the ball 11 times for the game and expect to have a successful trip in the win column. The Cowboys got away from what has become Cowboy football, smash mouth. This was just a bad game called by Jason Garrett. He is allowed a couple within the course of the season. (just a couple). Next week the cowboys play Cincy, they should back on track then. If not, then we might think about putting our hand on the panic button. This was a needed loss. We don’t want to get the big head.

Game notes:

Campbell is the only quarterback -- with at least 50 attempts -- without an interception this season...The Redskins victory was just the second in Dallas in 13 years...Romo had the 13th 300-yard passing game of his career, tying him with Troy Aikman for the most in franchise history...The Cowboys lead the all-time series, 56-39-2...Dallas' Patrick Crayton hauled in seven passes for 87 yards.

The Day after (Remember, wait til December)

I would start this blog talking about how good the Cowboys looked and how the Cowboys are in gear for great things this year. The problem is that it's only September and December is around the corner.

If you remember this time last year the Giants have given them all that they could stand and the Cowboys allowed Miami to score 20 points on them. Now they did take care of Chicago, but we haven't gotten to the Buffalo game yet. For me it's all about December and the playoffs. Having said all of that, here is the run down on the Green Bay game.

Intersting facts:
Romo was raised in the Milwaukee suburb of Burlington...The Cowboys' three road victories over the Packers came in Milwaukee...Witten had seven receptions for 67 yards...Dallas has opened consecutive seasons with a 3-0 mark for the first time since 1976-77...The Cowboys outgained Green Bay on the ground, 217-84...These two clubs have squared off 28 times, with Dallas holding a 16-12 advantage...The Cowboys are 12-1 in their last 13 road games...Green Bay is 10-2 in its last 12 home games and 19-4 in its last 23 games overall...When Barber has at least 11 carries, the Cowboys are 22-1.

Now the meat:
All the stars showed up even TO, the stats don't show it but he does like to sprint. He helped Felix "the cat" Jones go 60 yards. Tony Romo went 17-of-30 passing for 260 yards with one touchdown and an interception, as the Dallas Cowboys bested the Green Bay Packers, 27-16, to record their first-ever win at historic Lambeau Field.

Marion Barber ran for 142 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries for the Cowboys (3-0), who joined the New York Giants as the only undefeated teams in the NFC. Felix Jones gained 76 yards on the ground, including a 60-yard touchdown, and Miles Austin caught two balls for 115 yards and a score. Terrell Owens was limited to two catches for 17 yards.

"It was a really big win for us," said Dallas coach Wade Phillips. "We certainly made some mistakes, but I thought our team played with a lot of heart."

Dallas entered play 0-5 all-time at the storied venue.

Aaron Rodgers totaled 290 yards through the air on 22-of-39 passing and added a rushing touchdown for Green Bay (2-1), while Ryan Grant amassed 54 yards on 13 carries. Greg Jennings had a game-high eight receptions for 115 yards.

"You've got to give Dallas credit," said Rodgers. "It's disappointing. You can't settle for field goals all the time like we did tonight."

So What's next:
Washington, and don't let the record fool you, Washington is still the most hated team in the division. so. throw the records out the window, this is for blood. the records won't mean a thing when these two hook up. If you are not convinced, just direct your minds to 1989 when the Cowboys went 1-15. There only victory was to the Redskins, and that's the year that Washington beat Denver in the Super Bowl. Dallas vs Green Bay Preview

First I have to start off with the did you know. Including playoffs, the Cowboys are 0-5 at Lambeau Field all-time. Now for you hard core Cowboy fans, Dallas has only gone to Lambeau field with a winning record only once. That was the 1967 NFL Championship, better known as the "Ice Bowl." A game in which the Cowboys lost in the last seconds of the game.
Now what does that have to do wiht Sunday's game. NOTHING, just wanted to show off my sports knowledge. Here is my break down of the game:

WHEN THE COWBOYS HAVE THE BALL
Dallas has compiled gaudy averages of 433.5 total yards (2nd overall) and 34.5 points (4th overall) over the first two weeks and has shown it can wear down the opposition in multiple ways. The Cowboys did their damage via the air in Monday's win over the Eagles, with Romo (632 passing yards, 4 TD, 2 INT) posting his 12th career 300-yard outing and second in as many games. Witten has gotten off to a sensational beginning as well, with the All-Pro tight end having hauled in 13 passes for 206 yards thus far. The dangerous Owens (8 receptions, 176 yards, 3 TD) burned Green Bay's seasoned secondary for 156 yards and a score on seven catches during last year's meeting, while capable No. 2 wideout Patrick Crayton (8 receptions) had two touchdown grabs in that game. Dallas hasn't had much depth at wide receiver early on due to injuries, but steady reserve Sam Hurd (19 receptions, 1 TD in '07) could be back in the fold on Sunday after missing the first two weeks with a high ankle sprain. Romo's been able to pick apart defenses thanks to a top-notch offensive line that has yet to allow a sack.

WHEN THE PACKERS HAVE THE BALL
Although the triggerman has changed, Green Bay's philosophy as a pass-first, multiple-receiver offense remains with Rodgers (506 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT) calling the shots instead of Favre. The 24-year-old is coming off the most prolific game of his short career, as Rodgers throttled the porous Lions defense for 328 yards and three scores on 24-of-38 passing. Most of his strikes went to ultra-reliable wideout Donald Driver (11 receptions, 1 TD), who put up seven catches for 52 yards and a score. However, the three-time Pro Bowl selection has been overshadowed lately by younger counterpart Greg Jennings (11 receptions), the NFL's current leader with 258 receiving yards after racking up 167 on only six grabs against the Lions. Talented third receiver James Jones (4 receptions) and rookie Jordy Nelson, who hauled in a 29-yard touchdown toss from Rodgers last week, round out a deep group of receivers. Rodgers has impressed with his legs as well as his arm so far, as he's scrambled for 60 yards over the Pack's two wins.

So, since the offence on both teams appear unstopable, should rely on the defences to show up. Like most teams, the Packers had their troubles containing Minnesota's Adrian Peterson (103 rushing yards, 1 TD in Week 1) in the opener, but the defense was more adept at slowing down Detroit's nondescript run game last week. The Lions had just 49 yards on the ground, although they abandoned the run quickly after falling behind early in the contest. Hawk led the team with seven stops last Sunday, he and middle linebacker Nick Barnett (10 tackles) form a strong tackling tandem behind a quality front line anchored by tackle Ryan Pickett (7 tackles). Green Bay's run defense, which presently ranks 22nd overall (118.0 ypg), could be affected by Bigby's expected absence.

Dallas' defensive game plan will likely involve attempting to shut down Green Bay's ground attack and force the relatively inexperienced Rodgers to throw often. The Cowboys have the personnel to make it happen, as evidenced by the defense's limiting of Philadelphia standout Brian Westbrook to 58 rushing yards on 18 totes in Monday's win. Seven-time Pro Bowl inside linebacker and longtime Miami Dolphin Zach Thomas (12 tackles) has proven to be an astute addition to an already-formidable front seven that also features the disruptive DeMarcus Ware (11 tackles, 2 sacks) on the outside. Strong safety Roy Williams (6 tackles), a key to the team's success against the run, broke his forearm on Monday, however, and will be sidelined around 3-to-4 weeks. Third-year pro Patrick Watkins (8 tackles) takes his place. The Cowboys can combat Green Bay's collection of capable wide receivers with a deep secondary that will be finally at full strength with top cornerback Terence Newman (1 tackle) expected to return to a starting role.

So what am I saying, I look for the Cowboys defence to be better that Green Bay's offence which should give the Cowboys the victory 31-20 and that's my final answer.

When the smoke has cleared: Dallas vs Phily

I've heard all the radio shows and experts break down the game and all I can say is wow. My hat goes off to the Eagles who came in and found out that they had an explosive offence. McNabb is as good as advertised. With all of that said, here is my final thoughts on the game.

It's not often when a defense surrenders 37 points in a game and gets commended afterwards. In the case of the Dallas Cowboys, such praise was justifiable at the conclusion of Monday's thrilling and hard-fought victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Dallas' much-improved play on the defensive side during the second half of its 41-37 outlasting of the visiting Eagles wound up being the difference in a fierce battle between bitter division rivals that was otherwise evenly matched in terms of execution as well as intensity. After moving the football at will during a 30-point outburst over the first two quarters, Philadelphia managed only one sustained drive against the Cowboys' resurgent stop unit in the final 30 minutes.

The defense was at its best right when it was needed the most. With Dallas trailing 37-34 midway through the fourth quarter, nose tackle Jay Ratliff pounced on a loose football caused by a mishandled exchange between Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb and running back Brian Westbrook to thwart a potential scoring drive in Cowboys' territory. Dallas promptly marched 67 yards on the ensuing possession and grabbed a four-point lead on Marion Barber's one-yard plunge into the end zone, the powerful back's second touchdown of the night, with 4:35 left to play.

The Cowboys forced the Eagles to go three-and-out on their following series, then ratcheted up the pressure on McNabb, who had frustrated the defense all evening long with his ability to escape from the pocket and either scramble or find open receivers, in the crucial final moments. Linebackers Greg Ellis and DeMarcus Ware each sacked the star signal-caller to set up a 4th-and-long situation that McNabb and his offense were unable to get out of this time.
Philadelphia rolled up 222 total yards of offense and held the ball 18 1/2 minutes in the first half, but those numbers were cut down to 115 yards and just under 12 1/2 minutes of possession time after intermission.

"I thought we got stronger defensively," said Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips. "(McNabb) was hard to get to, obviously. We missed him a lot of times. But we did sack him some and right at the end, our defense kind of took over.
The next test will be next week against week. Here is a short preview. More will come including my prediction.

Dallas (2-0) at Green Bay (2-0) -- Sunday, 8:15 p.m. (et):
This marquee matchup will pit the teams that tied for the best record in the NFL with identical 13-3 records, although the Cowboys wound up with the conference's top seed by virtue of a 37-27 triumph at Texas Stadium in Week 13. Both clubs are off to great starts again in 2008, with the Packers posting season-opening wins over Minnesota and Detroit behind new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
